South Northants Labour Party has over 500 members from all backgrounds and ages across our large constituency. Every member has a role to play and every member is welcome.  We are a friendly group of proactive community campaigners who believe in both local and national government working for the benefit of the many, not the few. We are socialists who believe in providing opportunity for those who have been denied opportunity. We believe in properly funding our public services and making sure that our NHS, our infrastructure and our local government doesn’t collapse under the squeeze of Conservative austerity.
We are working hard locally to show that there is a fairer way to address the needs of our local community, and of our country. We hope this website will give you the information you need. If you want to help us put the community’s priorities first, we hope you will come and join us.
We hold monthly all members meetings, with political discussion and guest speakers, and have recently welcomed Northampton South PPC Gareth Eales and the University of Northampton’s Ron Mendel to speak at meetings.
While we are fully behind Keir Starmer’s vision for a fairer society that works for the many, not the few, we are a broad church, and have members from across the Labour spectrum.
Campaigning is at the heart of everything we do. We work for social justice at home and abroad, good quality public services, and local priorities such as decent housing, a sustainable environment, and better facilities for young and old. That South Northants is presently a sea of Tory blue may mean that we have to work hard, but it also means that our efforts are doubly important.
